Computer Forensics

50 Word Description: My goal is to expand on the app Notes Plus and make it possible for you to take pictures of notes and have it convert into text that you can then edit and create a stylus that will work just like a pencil does with pointed and accurate tip. The opportunities are endless.

How does hardware pertain to my idea? Well, it’s a very good question. I talked earlier about how you will be using an iPad to write/type your notes. So the hardware is all within the iPad, but people still use computers while they are at home and at a desk. So there will be some integration with your computer so that you can open files in Word and print them out. And you can also take notes while you’re reading a textbook at home and it can be transferred to the app so you can see it in class if you need to.

The most helpful thing to my project this week is computer forensics. Computer forensics can play a huge role in an app that has lots of information stored in it. College kids can be careless sometimes and sometimes they may delete something by accident. Luckily we can still access these files even if it gets deleted. This will be a huge help especially if you delete some really important notes right before a big exam.

We can develop a program that somehow works as an in-app purchase and offer it at a low price so that college students can afford it. It can be a one-time use or a multiple use. There will be a few packages to accommodate anyone’s needs. Having computer forensics available at our disposal will make it easily to retrieve anything and make sure the customer (the students) do not panic too much.
